I arrived too late to the party to get into the Clone prompt, but I’m excited to see what the next topic is. My goal for NaNoWriMo isn’t to bash out my novel; it’s simply to write more across all my platforms, and consistently. Can’t wait to get started 🙂

That’s a great goal. And just because, I’ll tell you the prompt a few minutes early! November’s word is HARP. 🙂 Have fun writing this month!

A bit late now but in one of those eerie confidences I’ve been watching Living With Yourself on Netflix, which is based on unintended consequences of rogue cloning. Helps that it is seriously funny and has a great cast.

haha I haven’t heard of that one, but I don’t have Netflix anymore, so…eh. 🙂

Here is mine, can’t believe i’ve somehow brought radical feminism into it… and yes I have skipped through the book, but not really understood it… https://justmuddlingthroughlife.co.uk/2019/10/18/am-clone-dad-genius-maniac/

lol I’m curious to read it even more now with that introduction. If it helps, I haven’t quite figured out that manual myself…

Thanks Rachael, I think Shulamkth Firestone was one of the most radical.. babies in tanks has just stayed in my mind.. Thankyou and Clone was an interesting subject…

Enjoyed this one, Gary, especially the playing with the idea of a ‘clone’ broadened to include both a re-invented self and a controlled amanuensis. PS – Early in the second section did you mean ‘wrest control’?
LikeLiked by 2 people
Good spot Doug, absolutely meant wrest control! Fixed that now and thanks for the edit correction. This prompt had me trialling about 8 attempts. Tried so hard to avoid what instinct said should be the route. My bad there…If the muse wants then go with it!

You’re fantastic, Gary! Now I really have to do something about my lack of participation. 🙂

Hyperbolic description there!! Fantastic would be day one after the prompt goes live lol. I’m also thinking you’re pretty busy too 💖

LOL I think if a writer can get a prompt in within the first half of the battle, that’s pretty fantastic. 🙂 It would be stupendous if it was first day. But this is just my opinion. 🙂

That’s a fair point for writers…errr….not knowing what the prompts are until release 😂
Or…are we keeping in the spirit of the BB by not doing anything until it’s out? Yes, that must be it 😂😂
LikeLiked by 1 person
LOL Yes, that’s it. Exactly. Actually, it might be accurate for me. I set up the posts and then don’t check them again until the go live, so it’s like I didn’t even know what the word was going to be until it’s out! haha
LikeLiked by 1 person
Lol, pretty much the same here too. I can hardly remember what happened last week never mind a year earlier when prompts get set up! Granted I do get a heads up when setting up my post as I have to pop over to see what the word actually is!! 🙄

Here’s my take on this month’s challenge. Futuristic sci-fi isn’t really my thing. Present day facts are enough to keep me awake at night 😉 https://sixcrookedhighwaysblog.wordpress.com/2019/10/14/bush-rescue/

And there it is! 🙂 Ain’t that the truth! Cloning is already happening, and who knows what that will lead to in the future, really?

I thought you might have a few ideas for this one Simon. Plenty of sci-fi options methinks.
Re the September one…I’ve not seen it!! I’ll check the back links here and see if Rachael’s put it on the entry post. If not I’ll find it on your blog and do it post haste…. unless you want to link it to this reply.

Well, here we are again! Hope everyone is doing well — looking forward to reading everyone’s great pieces, as always. 🙂
Like the last few, I tried to write this as quickly as possible to give it a sense of urgency. It’s not straightforward horror, but I do feel as though it’s quite brutal, so keep that in mind before reading — I wouldn’t want to upset anyone!

As quickly as possible?? Heck I only saw the post go live a short while ago!! Hmmm logic flaw….I know all the prompts months ahead… I really ought to be first every time lol.
Will add you in with the caveat not a happy ending!

Scheduled on mine for Thursday Rachael….but how is it October already??
Might have to go back to the AI set with Corona for this as that was cloning folk and reprogramming them 😂😂
LikeLiked by 2 people
That’s a good idea. 🙂 I cannot believe it’s already October, though!

I half expected the poetry ladies to have pinged back something already lol. That said I still have a few to read from last time too. I thought the turnout was pretty good there.

Right?! 🙂 And agreed. It was a great turnout for September. I’m excited to see what Clone brings!

I’m thinking about ways to get greater exposure too. I’ve been very slack there and need to up the game again! My bad 🙄
