Beautifully realised, Samantha, and I loved the subtlety of how you played that twist at the end. Well done.

If the rain had come a day later I would have missed completely, but after slogging away at the outdoor job for so long the weather sent me back to the keyboard on the last day of the month.:)

Melanie! So good to see you here. Reminds me of neglecting to pop over to catch up. I’ve added this to the story line up just now. I’m aiming to catch up on all those I’ve neglected to read ASAP too. I hope alls well with you x

Never any pressure to read mine Melanie. But time seems to have flown by every time I see you. Crazy really and I must do better!

I think we must have started roughly at the same time Melanie! Seems quite some time ago now, but always good to see you. More so when you drop into this community too!

Great to see you back this month Doug. You’ve been missed by more than a few. Hope everything’s ok.
Just added you to the story mix.

Thanks, Gary, good to be back. A combination of moving into a new house and starting from scratch with the garden and having upset a couple of people with the frankness of my views on some blogging practices has led to a hiatus of sorts, especially on stories. I’ve been concentrating more on poetry recently and on re-entering my episodic relationship with stand-up comedy.

House moves do create a few changes in priority, especially in a pandemic. I’m guessing it went relatively smoothly though since you’re here!
I caught a snippet of the debates, but was late getting to them and figured my input wouldn’t really be warranted. I find it best to actually be in the debate rather than drop in after. I did get where you were coming from though as I’ve seen similar several times over the years.
I don’t think you’ve upset anyone here though. Certainly not me!

Too quick Joshua! This is rather like handing the early baton between us! I’ve read this already (early as opposed to seen it before, which I haven’t obviously!). Added to the list just now. Will comment when time says it’s safe to do so lol

I only just wrote ‘Tea’ two or three days ago 😂 I’ll be on this ASAP! Want to get back into the habit of being early with my BB entries. 🙂 Hope you’re all doing well! I think I’m all caught up now (barring yesterday’s messages). Hopefully I’ll stay (mostly) on top of things from now on, but the best laid plans, and all that, haha…

You’re more caught up than me Joshua! This is the first actual time I’ve logged in with the appropriate “time” to do things justice. Best get cracking on adding stories ha, ha! 😳
