Here we go – I stopped for a tea-break or so between having the idea and actually writing it.

Nice one Mark. I’ve added you to the story post and will comment shortly. Tea almost ready at the moment…as it were…

Good to see you again Marian. Added to the stories and I’ll be over to comment soon. Fascinating read though with many perspectives that create some thinking that isn’t easy. Everyone has a back story though, even shooters!

Oh, wow, it seems I’m making a habit of falling behind then racing to catch up again! I hope you guys will forgive me, it’s my partner’s 25th — lots of parties with friends and family, people coming to stay, lots of hiking and climbing up mountains! 🙂
I need to read and respond to all of my outstanding messages and comments, in addition to reading all of the wonderful stories from this month and last month! I hope I’ll manage to find the time this week. I also need to have a think about ‘tea’…

I rather think your book anthology has taken precedence of late Joshua ha, ha. Did say on Facebook I’d do an author spotlight if you’re up for sharing the self publishing journey too. Early days here yet so plenty of time for tea… as it were!

The marketing of the book hasn’t taken up that much time, actually! The whole formatting and getting the blasted thing ready was the most time consuming bit. Having said that, I have branched out further onto FB and Twitter in my absence from WP, but I hope to strike a balance, as I’ve mentioned elsewhere. 🙂
Not so early days anymore, but still time for tea, I reckon. So, I’ll pop the kettle on and have a think 😉

Happy 25th to your partner! 😀 Sounds like lots of fun going on. I just got back from camping with my cousins and had a wonderful time, but there’s always a day or two of recuperation. haha

Thank you! Yes, lots of fun, very busy. I still haven’t written my ‘tea’ story! I think this is the latest I’ve ever been!
I love camping so much. I find it really brings people together when there’s no distractions (TV, computers, etc.). Some of my favourite memories are of camping in rural Wales with my mum and cousins. 🙂

Hello everyone…Gary persuaded me to have a go and with a prompt word like “tea” it was irresistible! Here is my link…https://samanthamurdochblog.wordpress.com/2020/08/08/storm-in-a-teacup/

Ha, ha! Blame it on me why don’t you!! You did get the right place so I’m adding it to the stories now!

Phew, thank you for sorting it out, I am totally reliant on guesswork, Google and the odd ritual sacrifice when it comes to dealing with technical issues that range beyond my extremely limited skills…lol…and you did mention joining it to me a while ago… a long while ago…

Ha, ha. Well now you’ve found us the technical issues can be blamed no more! And yes, that mention was ages ago… time and all that. I really think you should come here more now too. There’s some really nice people here.

Heads up folks, can I ask that you visit the LAST post on the “wretched” Story post. I have today found a new entry that was caught by the spam filter a week ago. Totally my fault as the spam zone gets pretty common gibberish. That said it caught two recently 🤔

That’s why I usually check the collection around the time the new prompt is posted.

A good habit Sam. More so when I find stuff locked in spam! I hope Lizzie didn’t take umbrage too!!

As always I’m looking forward to seeing what the other authors come up with. Sounds like Gary’s brewing up something and I hope Rachel can get an entry in this month!

Off the mark quick there Abe. Added to the story post. Which reminds me, we need to make more of that post and try to get more writers joining 🤔

I agree … I’ll do like everybody else and blame COVID-19 for any problems…!

Me too! Eek! Me too. Gary and I have been discussing ways to bring more value to BB w/o adding extra pressure to the writing process, so we’ll be sharing our plans and discussions in the near future. 🙂 Thanks for the encouragement to also get a story up for this month. ❤

Looking forward to hearing about your ideas! I think I remember when I first joined BlogBattle I was of the impression a ‘winner’ was chosen each month who would then be featured in an interview … or I could’ve just made that up. 😉 It’s fun, regardless!

It used to run that way! It hasn’t continued and probably will never come back for various reasons, but we’re looking for other ways to make sure our group is interactive and helpful as well as bring opportunity to highlight our participating writers. 🙂

Hey, Everyone! I’m sorry I dropped off the face of the planet last month! I’d love a recap of what your stories were about since I didn’t get a chance to read all of them! I’m looking forward to this week and my big goal is to make sure I comment on everyone’s entry.

Burst of inspiration! Setting up the prompt post sent me back to an earlier post with tea in it. That acted as a catalyst ha, ha.

nice. Love when that happens.

Scheduled for Thursday on my blog. Interesting prompt word and remind me of one I did previously way back for SoCS. Could be time to revisit methinks as an idea spawns…
